In March, each organization in Argentina received an average of 2,470 attack attempts per week
According to Check Point Research's March 2026 report, organizations in Argentina received an average of 2,470 attack attempts per week, 2% more than in March 2025. That's an average per organization, not a national total. Latin America was the most attacked region in the world.
What the numbers say
Every month, Check Point Research publishes how many weekly attacks the average organization receives, based on its own telemetry. In March 2026, the global average was 1,995, down 5% from a year earlier. Latin America ranked first, with 3,054 weekly attacks per organization and a 9% year-over-year increase; it was the only region that grew compared with February.
For Argentina, the local figure released alongside that report was 2,470 weekly attacks per organization, up 2% year over year. That's below the regional average but above the global one.
Ransomware and generative AI
Worldwide, 672 ransomware attacks were made public in March: 8% fewer than a year earlier, but 7% more than in February. Business services accounted for 35% of victims, followed by consumer goods and manufacturing.
The report also measures generative AI use in companies: one in every 28 prompts carried a high risk of leaking sensitive data, and 91% of the organizations that use these tools regularly were exposed to that risk. On average, each organization used nine different AI tools.
An average doesn't predict which organization will fall, but it shows that the pressure is constant. Check Point attributes it to automation, an ever-wider attack surface, and the exposure that the cloud and generative AI add. What decides the outcome is which door is left open.
